There a thousands upon thousands of brands in the world, possibly even millions. They have cool logos, sometimes great products, but what are brands REALLY about? What’s the point of having a brand? And while we’re at it what is a brand? These are all questions that we may have asked ourselves at one point or another in our interactions with brands.
A brand is at minimum the collection of thoughts and impressions in the mind of the customer pertaining to a company or product. Great brands, the standouts, excel because they understand fully what it means to be a brand. The other less successful brands, not so much.
